Ask Billy Blaze!
That's fine. I haven't started my car in about 5 months. I'm all about a road trip once it's up and running.
I've driven cross country before, and used to drive 1/2 way across quite frequently. As long as he's got actually fun roads - and remember, I'm from the east coast, so I'm used to mini ToDs all over - I'm down for a few-day trip.

Back in my WRX days we used to have "TRAD" meets. Twisty Roads Around Dallas. Typically we ran a route up in McKinney/Allen that snaked through some farm country.
The route was actually not horrible. I think this was it:

We'd start off at 75 and head towards 289 and then some people would split off and go home, others would reverse route and head back. We'd do it pretty dang early in the morning (I think we met near the start point around 7am) to avoid suspicious eyes and road traffic. Of course, we always kept our recreational driving at a reasonable speed.
