    Default Work on cars @ Sean's House 10/30 & 10/31

House is a mess, but I've got stuff to get done

    My list:

    - Brakes (rotors, pads, lines, fluid)
    - diff/carrier swap
    - suspension bushing (Energy), maybe
    - center console swap (NB1->NB2)
    - roll bar install

I have a big grill and am conveniently located near 121 and Coit in Frisco I'll provide the brats, chicken boob, veggies, and beer (and non-beer for those of you that don't partake).

I have a two car garage (so two Miatas can be worked on at one time) and sufficient tools to do them both (although I only have 4 jackstands).

I have a 5k on Saturday so I'll likely get started around 11-12noon. Let me know if you're coming and if you want something special to eat/drink.

If you want to work on your car too, come on by and we'll get everyone taken care of. Post in here if you need something done and we'll get it squared away.

Well noone made it out, but I still made good progress.

Got the roll bar in, console swapped out and diff swapped.

I think I'm going to hold off on the suspension bushings, but I will definitely do the brakes tomorrow. I'll likely start around 9 or 10am. You guys are welcome to come over and watch me work.

    You need a bigger hammer.

    Was it the header?

Got the brakes dealt with today. Still not eyeball sucking. Guess the big beefy 4 piston Brembos from the Evo spoiled me.

The roll bar does butch it up quite a bit though.

The factory M3 exhaust weighs 89 pounds?!? Is it made out of depleted uranium?

You guys should have told me earlier how important the Torsen is. Dang.

So it went in smoothly? Did you end up using the extra carrier, or did you put it into your carrier?

I used mine and put my open diff into the spare.

It went fine other than it fell on my shoulder when I finally popped it free from the PPF so there's a bruise on both sides of my shoulder. Also getting the axles back into the diff was a pain (until I figured out popping them in using the hub).
