    Default Employee handbook / manual

Does anyone have one that I can copy/steal? I have one that I stole but it is 40+ pages long, I just need a simple one.
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

I just looked - the latest revision of ours is 43 pages, so that doesn't help.

Have you tried Google? Seriously. I had to get annual reports and crap for a class, and people were saying they had to pay like $20 for an annual report. I got mine for free in a matter of seconds by consulting the Google.

EDIT: I just looked and found a few. They are all 40+ pages though, which makes sense considering everything that needs to be covered (explanation of benefits, work conditions, et al).

Anyone that paid for an annual report should fail the class. Most companies have them on their website, and if they don't have that the SEC has the 10k and 10q....

I agree. The only thing that apparently threw people off was that it had to deal with their major. But seeing that it's an engineering core class, you can relate anything to it. I'm going for mechanical, and I handed in the 2008 annual report for Pepsi. I got full credit for it. Tried to print my company's (a telecom company), but I couldn't print it locally that day. I'd put money on getting full credit for that too, even though it's "more" electrical engineering than mechanical. Kids are just dumb these days - if it's not a video game or Apple product they have no idea what's going on.

    3. Shirt and shoes required.
    4. Eat, shit, talk, and text on your time, not mine.

I hate to even think it, But I'll bet there were some people that thought the same about us when we were younger.

I did google and found a few that would work ok, I may just copy and paste from the few that I saw and call it good. I don't have one now and really need to inforce a few things, that may require firing. With the handbook, I atleast have some ground to stand on when the sh!t hits the fan.

Only if you provide the book, require acknowledgement, and tell them when it goes into effect. IF they do something AFTER it goes into effect you should be OK, but you'd likely lose trying to apply anything retroactively.
