Thread: Cooling System Issues, Themostat

I've been using my ODB-II connection and Torque app on my phone to read the actual temp real time. It shows the dead spot in the gauge on the dash.

I also read about cracking in the thermostat housing allowing water to bypass the thermostat and it behaving like it was opening too early, but have not had personal experience with this. I can't remember if that was NA or NB and whether it was this board or Miata.net.

Nobody has time to respond to all your posts, kiddo. I was alerted to how you'd already worn out your welcome at miata.net, so you headed over here. Didn't take you long to become a pest here. nobody minds a noob with lots of pertinent questions, but you just seem to like to chime in on topics you know squat about. Then your crappy driving gets you rear-ended (yea) and you want advice on how to best rip-off your insurance company for a car you've barely made a payment on.
Remember; this ain't the anonymous world wide web, this is local people, mostly grumpy old farts who have minimal patience for chirpy little turds who find themselves much more entertaining than anyone else does.
I look forward to meeting you in person...

You have responded to ALL of my posts on multiple websites. You went on to miata.net and said "you overstayed your welcome on dfwmiata now you're on miata.net"... yet now you are saying "you overstayed your welcome on miata.net so now you're on dfwmiata". You're just trying to be a forum troll. I'm not trying to rip-off my insurance company, you are just muddying up the truth as you tend to do often. And again you threaten me, you asked for my address to come "show me there are real people here who don't take too kindly to kids like you". Take a HUGE chill pill and realize I'm just chatting and making conversation.

Or if you're just messing with me to get a rise... well done sir you have managed it.

And I'm on both websites, I play the picture game, it gives me a reason to go search for something and drive my car around. And yes I ask questions often, only way to learn.

That is the way I have on my 99 with the big Al radiator. The needle is at 12 o'clock in my 99 with stock radiator.

The more important question is if your fans turn on now. Glad to see that was most likely the issue.
