Some of you have seen our Tow Hook / License Plate holder. I never finished the project, but it seems there is more interest in it now. It is designed to attach to the original toe hook location on the passenger side. When on the street you can attach the License Plate mount. When at the track you loosen the single bolt up front where it is accessible and replace it with the Tow Hook. The Tow Hook is red. All parts are powder coated for durability. This will be a universal kit for all years.

Ditto... It's a PITA to deal with small town cops that have little to do other than pull people over for no front plate.

    Gary,

The one I saw on your car on Monday was very nice. The only problem I see is that a lot of us cone dodgers need one that retains the stock baby tooth.

    Sharpie and all,

We actually finished the prototype this weekend and tested it on both M1 and '99 M2 cars. Don't see any problems with the '01 cars. The unit will be made from one piece, laser cut out for production and then bent and formed to our specifications.

The idea here was to develop a combination tow hook and license plate holder. No one wants to run a sticking license plate at the track so you remove it with one bolt and attach the tow hook in its place. One tow hook is all you need. The tow hook is RED so noticeable for the retriever to find it. Adds a little bling too.

Unfortunately, we have had to use this tow hook a few times up at Hallet when we had a fuel relay issue so she works as intended. The tow hook extends out far enough that you don't need to worry about straps or hooks marring the front bumper, The factory hooks do not extend out far enough and potentially could cause marring.

When completed it will be available as tow hook, license plate holder or combination. price has not been determined, but discounting will be offered to the DFW group. Sorry to say, but it will be about 4 -5 weeks before we will have production.
