In-flight wi-fi on American

Pretty cool surprise today. I'm on a plane with free internet. So instead of doing anything work related, I am surfing the forums.

Wow free? On American? Last I checked they were charging for a freaking pillow. I flew to LA on a flight that had the option to use Wifi but it was like $10 bucks for a cell phone/PDA and $40 for laptop.

The AA planes I have been on with it offered it free for first class but charged the rest of us.

I just flew American Thursday and Friday of last week, and I saw signs all over the place for on-board wifi, but the plane I was on didn't actually have it. They didn't even have the option to pay for alcohol, which was VERY very odd to me...usually even the 30 minute long flights will sell you $5 shot bottles.

I flew American yesterday and all they did was make us wait 4 hours for a connecting flight since ours left early and then our bags didn't make it. No kind words or anything. Actually they were quite rude. I am very disappointed with my American experience this week.

I walked to work this morning. It was halfway between my bed and my wife's kitchen. My wife cooked me a wonderful breakfast. My wifi is paid for by the company that pays me. Any day I don't have to get on a commercial airline, it is good to be me!

Not enought to make me want to fly unless Uncle Sam tells me to. Even then maybe I'll get lucky and it will be a military flight on a military plane :) No crotch pat downs for this guy lol.
