    Default Intercomp Track Lap Timer

Selling a good working condition Intercomp lap timer. Uses a beacon and receiver with a lap timer LCD. Just add batteries and your own tripod and start recording record laps at your next track event. I'm lazy and decided to just use an Iphone app even though it's less accurate. Description below with link to vendor. Comes with the carrying case, beacon, receiver and display. $319 new, yours for just $200 shipped/picked up CONUS obo. Might be interested in a GPS based system trade. PM or email jkan2001 at gmail.com with questions.

The smallest on-board lap timer (just 4" x 2.5" x 0.8") is now even better! Memory has been increased from 100 to 250 laps. A programmable "blanking" feature eliminates false hits when other lap timing beacons are in use anywhere around the track. The in-car receiver can be installed with Velcro and is small enough to be located on the center of the steering wheel. Backlit for night use. RS232 output allows you to download lap times to a printer or to a computer via Intercomp's Race Car Management Software. This kit includes the transmitting beacon as well as the in-car system. The onboard display operates up to 200 hours on a single 9 volt battery. The tramsmitting beacon operates up to 40 hours on four AA batteries.

Was just going to use the Harry's Lap Timer but haven't had a chance to test it yet, some people say it's kind of sketchy and doesn't always pick up laps but for 5 bucks I'll give it a shot.

I used the free iPhone 4 CMS Lap Timer during the fourth session. It says that lap 5 was 2:24.3 and lap 6 was 2:24.3 and fastest speed was 93 mph. My MaxQData says that lap 5 was 2:24.096 and that lap 6 was 2:24.115 and fastest speed was 92 mph.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

That is pretty accurate, are you using the internal 1hz GPS?

    Yes.

And, my MaxQData is using a 5hz receiver.
