403 Permission Denied - FTW

I've seen several posts on the problem of a 403 error that a few have been getting on the No more Miata parts for a while post.
So if you have seen this error chime in to let the powers to be know just how many of us have been seeing the problem!
I'll start!
I have seen that 403 error on that post!
I only get that error on that one post, and only when I try to go to the second page. Whether hitting last, 2, or next, or whatever options there are to get to the second page, I get it. I have to hit the "Go Advanced" reply button to get all the posts to come up to see what has been said on page two.
Already mentioned it that thread, but I'm getting it too, somehow I usually manage to get where I want to go though.

Yes many did mention the issue but I think folks assume the mods and admin read every post on this forum. And I can tell you as a former Moderator I didn't look at every post on this silly forum.Originally Posted by Sharpie

I have never had the problem. I have "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" set to 30, and I suspect this may be why I don't have the problem.
As do I and haven't seen this problem.
- Click 'Settings' on the top right of your screen.
- Under 'My Account' click 'General Settings'
- Scroll down to 'Thread Display Settings' and change 'Number of Posts to Show Per Page:' to 30
I got the error code, as well.
...and if a workaround is our fix, cool. My attention span doesn't usually enjoy page breaks anyway. :P

Clicking on "view last unread" gets me there. I've seen this before on 2 other threads but forgot what they were.
I've seen this error lately but I just made the above change so we will see if that changes anything.

I'll keep an eye on this... For those technically inclined, we're triggering mod_security, which vbulletin has long been famous for having issues with, but we've been getting along pretty well with it for quite a while...

Looks like the problem has been fixed. No 403 errors in the logs the last 24 hours. I also got a problem in the User Profile section fixed. Thanks for doing the legwork for me.
