    Velocity Adventures
    Saturday Feb 19
Harris Hill Road, San Marcos, TX
Last day to register online: Fri Feb 4, 2011
Please join us for a day of fast fun at Harris Hill Road! * This track features 1.8 miles of NEW asphalt covering twists, turns, and elevation changes, and the event will be capped at 54 cars, so everyone will get plenty of uncrowded time to learn and play. *This track is a private, members-only facility, so it's a special privilege to be invited to hold an event here.

We reserve the right to remove anyone who, in our judgment, at the event is acting in a reckless or uncooperative way, and entry fees will not be refunded.

    The registration fee is $165.

Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event by a qualified ASE mechanic, and they MUST be quieter than 99 dB at 30 feet away. *(if your car is stock, you'll very likely have no issues at all adhering to this).

Below is an excerpt from the Harris Hill Road website.

    THE TRACK

H2R is nestled in the hills of northeastern San Marcos, Texas. The course is very easily accessible, sitting approximately 2.5 miles east of IH-35, approximately 2 miles west of Texas Highway 21, and a little over 2.5 miles from the San Marcos airport.

We're right in your backyard. H2R is just 26 miles from downtown Austin and approximately 55 miles from downtown San Antonio.

H2R operations are housed in a 6,000 square foot clubhouse overlooking 150 acres of land with a very nice view of downtown San Marcos and Texas State University.

The track is a 1.8-mile asphalt road course, 36-feet wide. The pit lane consists of a 24-foot wide, 1/4-mile asphalt strip. The staging area includes the capacity for up to 60 cars.

    Event Requirements
Last day to register online: Fri Feb 4, 2011
This is a high performance driver's education event. *This is a non timed, non competitive event designed to help drivers learn basic driving skills, track etiquette, and handling characteristics of their car. *Instructors will be on hand for those who are first-timers or still learning track basics.

Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event. *Convertibles MUST have factory roll protection or aftermarket rollbar installed in order to participate; please ask before registering if you have questions!

Please enter your previous driving experience! *If you don't have enough space, just email me, Sondra, at [email protected] with your experience.

    Thank you.

I was planning on going down to instruct, but not sure if I'll be there or not.

Depends what you eat, although I'm pretty sure they're talking about the car.

not sure. Josh, who instructs for NASA and runs NASA TT in a red Integra, checked his own car with a dB meter and was fine. When he got to the track, the dB meter that HHR uses said he was too loud and stopped him from running until he fixed it.

Hmmmm.... that Integra is one bad piece of machinery, but I did not think it was obscenely loud. I did notice even the American Iron guys seemed docile from what I remember at MSRC.
I use to worry about money; but then realized I don't HAVE anything to worry about.

I thought that group was pretty cool, I'd run with them again.

That's my birthday so I may need to venture down there and get a little work in before TXMC goes there.

There is no way in hell that KenO is going to pass the noise restriction, but you better figure it out or those TT points are mine, bitch.

Will the track get the bumps between 3-4 and 8-9 fixed by then? I'm getting tired of replacing exhaust hangers every time I run there.

I passed him in the rain w/ overinflated tires ... I was sliding at every turn @ 30mph lol. The 4th session my instructor suggested lowering it down to stock spec. HUGE difference! I was so happy to get all that traction back.
