Billet sway bar brackets ??? Who makes them

Just got a set of urathane bushings and brackets, link bushings, etc. for the M.
Set included both front and rear for the stock sway bars. Front set came with new
strong looking steel brackets for the front sway bar mount. The rear had non- zero-
notta. I asked the vendor why they include all the hardware in the front kit and none
for the rear kit? They said the rear kit does not include it. No #$@^ shirlock!
So why would I want brand new hardware up front and 20 year old hardward and brackets
in the rear. Makes no sense to me at all. So I was looking on line for a vendor that sells billet
aluminum brackets or strong steel ones to replace the old ones. Could not find any.
You guys know of a vendor that might have them for the 12.5mm rear NA sway bar????

The aftermarket setups like FM and Racing Beat don't use a different bracket and hardware in the rear either. They mold the bushing to the same outer diameter to fit within the sizing of the factory bracket.

i haven't ever seen a larger bracket for the rear.

Seems kind of odd to offer new hardware up front but none for the rear. I may get my Machine shop
Man to cut some for the back for my car. If they work good I'll See about selling pairs of them Just for
the rear 12.5 mm swaybars. Or custom made to what ever size bar you got.

The bushing is a standard Energy Suspension bushing. Choose your diameter from the ES catalog and substitute it for the Hotchkis bushing.

FM sends urethane for the rear, within the stock bracket. You don't need it by any means, won't feel it on the street, and you sure are cranky. Energy suspension already makes poly rear swaybar bushings. The fastest Miata in the world did just fine on rubber rear swaybar bushings.

Front came with new bolts, brackets and all. And I understand thats in part due to the extra front end weight. I get that.
But still the rear brackets and hardware are 20 years old. Thats the part I don't get, considering the harware alone and the brackets
can't be more than a few bucks at most to include for complete kits front and rear.

And yes those Hotchkis brackets are nice. Nice price too.... For $110 I can have a dozen pairs made.

You didn't specify what brand of anti-roll bar you bought, but could it be that the rear replacement bushings fit in the OEM brackets and that the front replacement bushings required new brackets because they didn't fit in the OEM brackets?

so you're saying that a 1"x3" metal bracket is fatigued and doing what after 20-years? Given the option of using the stock one or paying someone to CAD a strap and send it to China for stamping, I'll use the stock bracket. Have fun marketing your 5-grams of weight savings.

and I market and sell it. Simple as that....

Just to put in some kind words of why there might not be much interest: there are more people that *remove* the rear sway bar than there are ones that get a thicker/stronger aftermarket one. I haven't ever heard of a rear sway bar mount breaking on a Miata, but that doesn't mean much, it very well could happen. You might get a few sales, as anything will sell, but I certainly can't see getting nearly the interest as your window guides (which I'm putting in once it's warm enough in the garage). That said, it sounds like you have nothing to lose in getting 1 or 2 made at first, so why not.
