What route do we actually take? Is it a closed course where we can actually drive relatively fast?

The course was professionally designed, but is on public roads. You will be able to feel the acceleration of the cars, but will be restricted by highway speed limits.
I can say from experience that the thrill of these cars is not that they can achieve 200 mph+ but the 0 to 60 in a few seconds.
I did the Drive Your Dream about three years ago. They ran through FM roads in the Glen Rose / Granbury area. Mostly kept speeds under 80 though I did get the Vette up to 100 once. The cars have telemetry that emails the tour manager (leader) when any car exceeds 90. No passing anytime is allowed, sling shotting is discouraged. You break the rules you walk home.
Cars were a Vette, Viper, BMW M6, Porsche 911, and Merc SLK55AMG. All five convertibles and it was worth every penny at 300 bucks. All day event included a steak lunch in downtown Granbury.
Funny, I was watching Michael J. Fox on Scrubs not 5 minutes ago.The F430 can reach speeds of nearly 200 mph, which is fast enough to travel back to the future for another test drive without stealing a flux capacitor from the government.
