$$$$?
Hey hey guys,
I'm not sure, but i think that i will have to sell my little and loved Anni.
It has 140.000 Miles on it, runs super great and got a lot of work done.
I just got the Transmission checked, cleaned, and resealed. The clutch is a brand new one and has Warranty.
It has an brand new soft top with Plastic window, but is still have a glass window with defroster in my garage.
The tires are brand new too, not even 1000 miles on them.
I replaced the fog lights and the covers. They shine in two different colors, white and blue. Blue looks really great at night.
I also put a new grill on it, as seen on the pictures.
The engine runs very smooth and nice, AC is ice cold.
I wish i could keep it, but i just cant afford it anymore(((
SO, check out the pictures :)

I think I'll buy it.
Two-fiddy.
(Pssssst. Nice write up, good pictures, but a price is kinda needed. Or are you just asking us if you should sell it? Or maybe hoping we'll convince you not to sell it?)

Is it a 1954 Edsel? What exactly are you selling and for how much? (Just trying to help...I'll update your thread title when you spill the beans)
Oh, haha, i should post the price too.
I'll ask 5900 for my baby :)

I wish there was a way that i could keep it. I was hoping that i'd find a way to keep it with me, especially after all the time and love i put in, but i have to say that school has to be my priority and so the car has to go, even though my heart will cry the day i'll give it away.
Erm... I think $5900 may be a bit optimistic for a '99 with torn seats, 140k miles, and a plastic window top (WTF?!?), but best of luck.

I mean, it's all negotiable of course :).
And to the top with the plastic window -> if someone put a big hole in the one with the glass, its raining out there, and you only have a amount of money to spend, you have to buy what you can get for the money. So i did that.
I didn't even notice the body damage.
I'll offer you $2500 cash for it. I've always wanted an Edsel.

MarcusRWD, you are certainly/clearly/obviously free to ask whatever you want for your car, but I assume since you posted on our forum, you are also willing to listen to our thoughts and advice. If not, stop reading this post now, and I wish you best of luck with your sale.

If you are still reading, then I'll give you my thoughts: $5,900 as a starting price for your car seems quite high, considering the mileage and the cosmetic condition of the car. I think you need to do a little "market value research", and be a little more realistic in the appeal your car is likely to have to most potential buyers. For example, here is another car offered on this site for less money, that has many fewer miles, and is in much better cosmetic shape.

Quite frankly, even if your car is in very good to excellent mechanical shape (and the cosmetic condition doesn't suggest that to a buyer), I think you're best hope is finding someone who wants to gut the car and make it a dedicated track toy.... and I seriously doubt anyone looking for that kind vehicle is going to offer anywhere near your starting price. Something more like $3,500 as a starting price is probably more realistic, and I'd be surprised if you could even get that.
But again, it's your car, and there is undoubtedly someone out there who would pay your price (or something close)... it's just a matter of being patient in your search to find them. I doubt that you'd find anyone here that would bite, but perhaps an ad in the newspaper will grab someone's attention? Seriously just trying to be helpful...

Hey wait just a minute there was never a 1954 Edsel!![]()
My '99 with 145k miles was $5200 and came with a recently rebuilt engine (done by Day Custom Engines, with all the fixins replaced), exedy organic clutch, new radiator, hard dog roll bar, new koni street shocks, yada yada yada, and an interior that is in damn good shape. As everyone else said, $5900 is a bit much...
