    Hey guys,

    does anybody know how much a synchronous ring for the Miata NB standard transmission is?

    Yea I figured that already. He had posted on another post the car was at the shop.

    To replace the syncros the transmision has to come out of the car and the transmision has to be torn down. Labor is going to be high.....

    Hey guys, thanks for the quick respond.
    I had problems lately to get my second and third gear in place. I brought it to the shop friday, its elite transmission in arlington, pretty close to where i live. I get 400 in Labor plus parts. They said that the problem with the second and third gear are the sync rings.
    I told them to call me before they are going to replace it. I'm an international student so i dont have tooo much money to get that fixed. They havent called me yet, but im supposed to get it back tmrw at noon.
    And since they said that they might have to replace the sync rings, my idea was that u guys may know how much the rings are.

    Mazda shows 7 items listed as Synchronizers.

    When they replaced all my gears and synchs, clutch and flywheel in 02, under warranty, the guy told me I got about $1500 worth of free parts and labor.

    I guess i have to wait what they are goin to tell me tmrw. Thanks anyways guys :)

    Edit: I got a brand new clutch, and the labor is 300. :) I just hope that it is not going toooo expensive. Who did it? The guys from elite transmission?
