    your doing it wrong, your water temp on the neck cap on the front will never read the real water temp, looks like the oem sender so the ecu will not enrichen properly but that only matter pending on what ecu you have and how it's set up.

    That is not the temp sensor. That is a thermo switch that all 1.6 Miatas have. It's signal doesn't even go to the ECU. It goes to a relay that allows it to turn on the fan.

    Shouldn't be a problem. If he wired his AEM like I did my LINK, he ran a new wire from the ECU to the fan relay so that it runs off of the correct temp sensor and he can adjust the fan on temp from the AEM.

    I have the AC fan running until I put a new connector on that front switch. The AEM is setup to run the AC, but since it is removed, if I turn on the AC it still turns on the AC fan.
