dumb scion question...

my sister has a 09 scion...she wants to know what the s2 and s3 are on the shifter, I assume it's 2nd and 3rd gears but I dont know...does anybody here know? and should she just use drive for this crappy weather or drive in one of these?

s2 and s3 are what you are to select depending on the depth of snow on the road.

But I think it is based on the metric system since the car is Japanese.

I dont know why I get called on so much...I dont know anything about a scion...and I dont know why she doesnt have an owners manual...but mostly, I dont know why I thought I cared!!!!!
