You might want to check the floor on the passenger side. If the carpet is wet, or if there is a puddle on the floor pan, it might indicate a heater core problem.
Just drove to Sonic, pulled in and smelled that nasty coolant hitting something hot smell. HAd fingers crossed it was the old beater Chevy Blazer parked next to me. Got home and unfortunately it was me. Popped the hood and apparently it is leaking possibly from one of the two hoses from the driver's side firewall but I cant tell if it is a hose or where it connects to motor. Have it cooling off now so that I can take off the heat shield and get a better look. Any thoughts or suggestions to look for?

I'm a big fan of AutoZone's free Coolant Pressure Tester. It pinpoints the leak with all the pain of getting hosed with hot coolant!

Found the leak. Heater hose that runs to the back of the motor under the coil pack area. Looks like about a 1/2 inch split. I've already read about the senstive copper stubs and the need to cut them instead of twisting and pulling. Looks like I will be swapping hoses tomorrow.
Looks like it might be easiest to pull the CAS off in order to get at this heater hose. That means replacing that O-ring. Is this a dealer only part or is something available at the various autoparts places? It's not that I am looking for cheaper than a dealer, I just dont want to jack with going to a dealer to get it if I dont have to.
Nothing special about the O-ring. I don't know the size off the top, but it's on here somewhere.
EDIT - Here ya go -
