Default 185-60-14 Tire recommendations for the wife's Miata?

I was going to order a set of Kumho Ecsta ASTs, but it appears that the don't make them in a 14. Here are some of the options I'm considering:

    Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum ($285)
    Kumho Solus KH16 ($285)
    Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 (H&V) ($254)
    Falken Ziex ZE-512 ($234)
    Falken Ziex ZE-912 ($264)

(All prices listed are for 4 tires shipped w/tax)

    Thoughts?

I would go with the Sumitomo HTR A/S P01.

I almost picked up a set for my civic, instead I went with the Yokohama Avid Envigor.

I had some Ziex 512s on my TSX and I really liked them.

I got Falken 912s for DD duty because they were crazy cheap and the tread lets me rotate left to right as needed. Good grip so far (less than 1000 miles on them). Seems like the sidewalls are a bit soft (like the T1-S or T1-R) but that could also be because I went with comically oversized 195/65-14.

Carazzie's 912's have seen a 70 mph apex at turn one Hallett by Chris Edens chasing JR who went right off the track in front of them. That was two plus years ago and she still has the tires albeit overdue for new ones now. I don't have experience with the others listed.

Leaning heavily toward the Falken 512 after finding this rebate form that drops the price to $194 shipped.

I went with the Falken 512's. But, I bought mine from Todd Eaddy at Discount Tire on Ohio in Plano.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I bought a set of Continentals from Tire Rack for daily driving less than two months ago. It cost me 95/tire. Now they are offering a special offer! A "free" Flip camera when you buy a set. However, the price magically bumped up to 111/tire.... lol

I think you'll be happy with the 512's, especially at that price.
