Cleaning soft top boot

Previous owner kept the boot inside the spare tire and now it covered with brake dust and other stains. What kind of solvent do you guys recommend for trying to get it cleaned?

You might try some Simple Green and a soft scrub brush.

If the stuff isn't too yucky, you might try using a vacuum cleaner first, then wash by using a brush rather than a sponge.

I wiped it down with a wet rag that did nothing, so I'm pretty sure the vacuum is out lol. I'll try the simple green and brush
