Default From boosted 240 to Stock NA miata and love it!

Hey guys, I have been "lurking" the miata forums and didn't do one of these because I didn't have a miata yet. Well not anymore!! Just picked up a 1995 miata last week.

After a full day of cleaning the inside and getting alllll the dog hair out and buffing out the oxidation on the passenger side of the car, it looks pretty clean( or at least compared to my 240 lol).

I basically had been into 240's for 7 or 8 years, with my last one having the RB20DET in it. It was a stupid fun car. But all you had to do was put your foot down and turn the wheel and.. BOOM you just learned how to drift.

Then I rode in one of my buddies slammed miata and it just blew my mind. It was a stock 1.8 NA but with BC coilovers and just handled like a 240 could only dream about. So I sold the 240 and bought a miata. I've learned most of what a 240 can teach me, now it's time for the miata to rip me a new one.

So far the miata community seems to be more friendly than nissan/ 240 forums I have been on in the past.

Let me know what you think, and I'll try to get more pics of the miata soon.

Welcome, and have fun with your Miata. If you want to learn what you and the Miata can do, you might want to try autocrossing and/or track days.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

thanks guys. I'll probably come out to some auto X events soon. I've never been to one, only dirft events. And more than likely I'll bring my buddy with his NB.

Thanks guys! I'm thinking of doing the mirrors black because the red is faded. Any opinions?

I always think black mirrors stand out a bit too much, visually. JMO. Have you thought about going body-color over the blacked-out rockers? Would make the car seem even lower. You can do it as a vinyl overlay (mini-wrap) if you want to avoid the permanence of paint.

Are you still connected to the 240 crowd? I need to check out some S13 hatches in person and would like to score a ride in an RB swap.

hmm, never thought about the vinyl wrap.. I do hate how at night it doesn't look as low because of the black. I'll look into it.

And I still know some 240 people, as for finding a hatch, I would just try craigslist or go up to my buddies shop (Tay's Automotive) it's in Grand Prairie. He usually has some for sale or knows of some. He has an s14 with a rb26 in it doing around 500-600 hp, and can get any RB motor and install it if you didn't want to do it yourself.
