The POSIV has been resting in the garage for a couple of weeks this morning I decided to break it free.
Turn the key and I get a click, do it again and I get an other click, third time you'll never guess yep another click.....
So I call it some choice names and try it one more time and she fires up like a champ!

Sounds like 'Fish Monger Ignition Switch' issue.
I'm not a huge fan of fish so I don't think my issue is the same.
It sounded like a relay under the hood doing all the clickin.....
If you run out of clicks, let me know. I have some extras I can send you.![]()
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Sounds like a dead spot in the starter. I had a BMW that would do that, so I got really good at whacking the starter with a BFH to get it going. Mom also had a Maxima that did the something similar...

Yup. Louisville Slugger is the right tool for the job. It would be wrong to fix it.

Was it a left click or a right click?
M3 is always the answer.
Bad starter solenoid? Weak battery? Poor ground on battery?
Did you check to see if there was a loose nut behind the wheel?

I hope it isn't the same problem that I have as I've been trying to figure it out for a long time now. So far I've tried disconnecting the clutch safety switch, cleaning the ignition switch, checking and cleaning all grounds, and installing a new battery & starter with no change. It is a know issue on the pointy board, but there is no sure fire fix. Hopefully yours is just a weak battery.

Hope it doesn't go
Sounds exactly the same, like a relay under the hood, but it was the solenoid. I regapped the solenoid and cleaned up the armature while I had the starter off. It has worked fine ever since. Including today when I started it up and then run the dragons tail.
Too much gentleman's juice in the ignition? Warned you about having "me time" in the garage...

How old is the battery? After sitting for 2 weeks it could have been weak.
