Nah it really didn't act like a dying battery. Plus when it did start she sounded like herself no slow turn over or anything like that.

I should have known better than buying that engine.....

Since I know lostlorin was having these same issues with his car if it decides to do it again I'll pull the starter and check it out.

Or maybe it is time to sell the POSIV and start looking for the POSV.

    Default click click

Pos a year or more ago I had visited with a gentlemen with the same problem because mine was/is still doing this . I have never been left stranded as it will finally crank
Anyway he had told me he had his at two different dealerships and each place had it for a couple of weeks and neither could find the problem
He did say and I had read an article about the same thing, that there is some sort of headlight safety switch that kicks in to keep the headlights from running the battery down and if it malfunctions then you get the click click
I have no idea if either statement is fact as I do not know the guy and I did not verify the article
The thought is that maybe it is not in the start circuit but something else that does not close and allow it to crank

I had this problem I did most of the same things Flyin96M did. Still seemed to be an irregular problem. My issues seems to have been some over-heated wires to the ignition switch due to a previously installed alarm. I ended up cutting to burnt wire out while removing all remnants of the alarm and then splicing in new wire. These were the thick high voltage wires to the ignition switch. They are a PITA to solder but haven't had any problems since.
    ...and across the line.
