Weight loss?
Hi All!
Does anyone have an idea of how much weight could be stripped off a 2001 Miata and what could go to lighten it, both for power to weight ratio and for fuel economy in the future when they raise gas prices to force us all to buy a new generation of expensive fuel
saving vehicles. I know that a new Lotus is nearly 500lbs lighter. When we were drag racing in the old days there was always lots of sound deadening stuff to remove. I still would like to keep the car nice but simple and light. Thanks for the ideas!
OK, I shut up and started reading. To qualify, this is for other than autox. So are there good lightweight seats? And carbon fiber tops other than from some company that doesn't speak english so well? And that dude with the yelow Elan. I am So Sorry you have that and not me! What a car!
