Default FS: 1993 Flyin' Miata featured in TV show - $4000

Yep, finally selling the ol' girl.

Where do I start? This is a 1993 Miata 5-speed with 87,800 miles (that's not a typo). This car was featured in the TV show Motorsport ranch where it spanked a C6 and C7 corvette at Texas Motorspot ranch. I lost in the semi finals to Keith Vergas after blowing the last turn (big bend)

All the body panels are in great shape, although the hood has been modified to be an extractor hood.

The Flyin' Miata has a turbo system producing around 260-300hp depending on how you set it up. There is also a FM Clutch system, aluminum racing radiator, intercooler, turbo, racing injectors, koni shocks roll bar and a whole host of other goodies - Even a transponder for track times. The brakes are off a 1994 miata (larger).

Here is more info on the system......

Shortly after we shot the TV show, I stopped driving the car and it has been parked in my garage ever since. Previously I used the car as both a daily driver and track car. It's FAST and freakishly quick in the turns. This car runs forever at 12 lbs of boost and if you increase it to 15lbs, well prepare to hang on. It is currently not running and I expect some critters might have feasted on the wiring. While it was running the car was kept in perfect condition - synthetic everything and the brake fluid is still clear.

I am selling the car whole @ $4000 for the next month or two. After that I am going to part it out. I just don't have time to do the rebuild.

Pictures... and by "not running" does it turn over? At this price... seems like a steal.

It will turn over. At least it did 3 years ago. I am not looking to make any serious cash on the deal, frankly I would be happy if somebody brought her back to life and just tracked the car.

I have some left over 5 year old track tires if somebody wants to enter a burnout contest.

Here is the episode list for the TV show.

The car was featured in "The Underdog (me)" and "The Grand finale" - Darn you Kieth Verges and your Lotus!!

I've been wondering what happened to you and this car. I came out and watched them film one day when Jeremy came down from FM to tune it.

I went into hybernation with kids stuff - coaching, games, practices. I even stopped my track membership. I kept walking past the car and saying next month, next month. I am finally resolved to not having time to fix it myself.

I drive a Mazdaspeed3 right now. It's amazing how much horsepower Mazdaspeed is leaving on the table with that car, but I won't track a FWD car.

I am still searching for DVD copies of the TV show. SOMEBODY HAS GOT A SET!

If you find two sets, I'd be interested in getting my hands on one...

A little googling lead me to offthefence.com. it appears as if this is the original distribution company for the series. They may be kind enough to send you a copy.

I don't think any miata could outrun a C7 Vette!
