On the front of an M3.
M3 had a little incident and now needs a new hood. I found one in Palm Springs CA. How do I get it to Dallas?
M3 is always the answer.
If you pay for gas, I'll drive the WRX there, pick up the hood, and drive it back. I think i'd also need a 91 octane tune too, dang california.
greyhound...
Yes, Greyhound is the most cost effective way to go. They can ship to the depot close to your house. No need to go to downtown. I shipped the Bride seats that way and was easier than I thought. However, you still need a box for it. It is expensive to custom make a box of this size and strength. However, you can get one from the friendly body shop which they get their hoods with.

Greyhound had a $300 limit on value. I would declare it at $2000. Did I look on the work site?
M3 is always the answer.
Shipping a hood via oops or fuxup has resulted in many broken hoods (anecdotal evidence).
You're going to pay $$ to ship it right IMO.
I would go with a freight company. Since you're already paying for shipping, drop the $$ and have a shipping store make a box. Body shop is a good idea. Maybe talk to gregw and see if he can contact a maaco buddy out there to pack it up for you.

I might try a PDR guy. The hood on the M3 was not latched and flipped back when I took off bending the corners.

- Bend hood back so it will close properly.
- Buy sawzall.
- Cut giant cooling vents into hood.
- Cover the rest of the hood in stickers.
- Why? Because RACECAR.

You should give your old hood to Rogue so he can customize it for you.
