I was surprised to learn it was Faust driving. You've got to wonder if the Top Gear USA producers were secretly hoping for a Hamster style crash to help the show gain some more attention and sympathy.
90 foot tower for a 70 mph take off speed so why an 800+ hp truck when a bicycle would've made the same speed probably?
Tanner is full of shit. That truck wasn't doing 100 and even if it was our Miatas can get that velocity easily with that launch tower.
He says he was airbourne for 4 seconds which, at 330 feet, equals 82.5 feet per second averaged. That's 56.25 mph averaged air speed. So is he lying about launch speed or hang time because I don't believe he scrubbed more than 40% speed by wind resistance alone.
I can't get over that wonderful suspension absorption. That's just plain hot.
Yeah, yeah, I know that's par for the course for rally trucks but, still, wow!
