Thanks, David. With the thing going live worldwide on the Internet (we had listeners from around the world..seriously), there was a conscious effort to up the game. Cut way back on the insider jokes and wisecracks and do more scrutiny on the action at hand. This included describing stuff that people who aren't there would want to know (the crazy weather was a huge part of this).

While it certainly isn't big-time, there were 1700 folks listening in total just for the Tour.

Del's Jeep is built from a sprint car chassis and uses a Solstice drivetrain. I think the Miata is Doug Turner's from Tulsa with a 20b rotary. It used to be red.

At 2003 Nats on day 1 of E-Mod's runs it poured a deluge. Doug & Wendall had no rain tires and they were on the Forbes North Course (standing water). We borrowed a set of I believe 195/14 Hoosier Dirt Stockers (that was THE rain tire back then kiddies) from an FSP VW and put them on the car. Looked like space savers compared to the big Hoosiers but it kept them in the hunt. Wendall was bringing the car in with the tires steaming after every run. Managed to finish 5th overall the next day.
