    Default Ever had a electrical fire behind your dash?

    I just did... Crap.

    Lighter socket wire burned through the harness... Fried. Crap.

    I guess I know what I'm doing today. Crap.

    Might be parking to ole miata. Crap.

    Sigh...

    I saw that... That sucks. I grabbed a socket and disconnected my battery in a HURRY. I didn't get too at fortunately.

    So I pulled to dash to see what was going on. Sigh

    Looks like a ground burned up and I need to repair another couple wires.Anyone want to help play dash installer in south fort worth? Heh

    Sorry to hear of the misfortune but you have learned that car "up close and persoanl." Sort of built (or rebuilt) this one from a box of parts. Very glad your damage was not more serious.

    I had a 1959 MGA 1600. I don't think there was a day that I drove it that smoke didn't boil out from under the dash. Never had any flames and the car always started the next day.
