2 spots still open? Cuz I cAn fill them ASAP let me know
Hey everybody!
Just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that this event is coming up this Sunday! If you're registered, please be there by 8am on Sunday so that we can get the everyone registered and hit the track. The intention is to get the first practice session out by 8:30am. Remember, we've got the entire place to ourselves from 8am to noon!
If you want to come to the event but missed registration, please follow this link to the registration page and sign up for the waitlist. The waitlist works like this: when a spot opens up the first person on the list gets an email with a registration link. They get 12 hours to sign up, then the link times out and the next person on the list gets the same email. So far almost everyone on the waitlist has had a shot at registering for the event! I've got two open spots cycling through the waitlist right now (hint, hint), so don't miss out!
See you at the track!

Open spots have been filled! See everyone Sunday morning!
Don't forget that Vorshlag and Wes G are providing a free BBQ lunch for everyone! Wes will be towing his smoker in loaded up with brisket, chicken, and sausage (plus all the fixins), so be sure to stick around for trophies and lunch at the end of the last race!

i had SOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!
after everyone left, i stayed and did a session in the dd2 shifter kart. i simply cannot find words to describe what it felt like. 3Gs + in the turns, pins you in the side of the seat so hard it knocked my breath out on some fast left handers. the acceleration is speed is UNREAL. i've driven 1000+hp cars and owned the worlds fastest production motorcycle (BMW S1000RR, mine made 215whp and went 9.3@155 in the 1/4) and neither came close to the feeling you get driving one of these. Ayrton Senna was 100% correct when he said karting is the purest form of racing. if anyone gets a chance, its well worth the 100 bucks per session!
Fun day. Thanks to altiain, Vorshlag, Wes C. and DKC. And, thanks to ken o for his help today.
This event I finished in the Driving Miss Daisy class. Damn skinny kids.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Great time today at Dallas Karting Complex for the Vorshlag Karting Challenge! 52 racers, 4 race groups, and we were all wrapped up by ~1pm! Big thanks to Vorshlag Motorsports for sponsoring the event and to Wes G for the awesome BBQ lunch! Thanks to everyone for coming out today!
Due to the huge response to this event, I'm planning on organizing several more between now and the end of the year. As always, you'll see the details here first!

Results?
Had some timing issues during the final races - not a big deal, since they were races for position anyway.
Dave W won the "Driving Miss Daisy" race trophy.
Joel T won the "At Least I'm Not Last" race trophy.
Tan N. won the "Not Quite Fast Enough" race trophy.
Chance K. won the "Faster Than You" Championship trophy.
