We've run into some major computer issues. Mainly the USB controller in the computer. This is the second computer we've had issues with this year. 2 completely different problems.

We're looking at a Dell referb business class unit. This solves a couple of issues & get's us a laptop with a serial port.

Poor Gary K is having to deal with this mess.

Mr. K was busting his ass yesterday trying to get everything back up and running!

Having dealt with timing issues with BMW I know how frustrating it can be. Hopefully for me that is behind us. A couple of tweaks to the setup in Axware and I think it is good.

    Nice job Neal!!

Hitting OKC AX on Saturday and SCCA on Sunday I finally had to go at about 9:30am this morning.
    M3 is always the answer.

Nothing against Neal. But we all know there were massive timing issues yesterday. No one thinks it's odd that he ran as fast as a BSP car?

Nope not at all because Miata > BSP EVO!

CSP Miata? Maybe. STS? No way. Especially not on yesterdays course.

I think that Jeremy's time and Neal's times were mixed up on 4th runs.

Sounds like I chose a good event to miss, based on the temps and timing stuff. Too bad there was such a good STR turnout. Gotta keep peace on the home front.

Great job finding an extra THREE SECONDS on your last run, Neal. I think you'd win Nationals by a big margin with a run like that.

Did you see in paddock that he added the flux capacitors?

I'll take a couple of those! Fun course, and good to see our friends from Arkansas coming to play in STR. Good driving 762!

I think the 41 sounds good, if he used his KERS and DRS at the same time.

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I just looked over the results, and of 90 drivers, 27 were in a Miata, if we count nealb.

Well, that event didn't go the way I wanted it to. I think the timing system suffered from Heat Exhaustion.

But seriously, I removed Vista, installed XP and got a better mouse in hopes of fixing the issues that started appearing in the past events. Obviously, that didn't help. A different laptop is the next step.

As to Neal's 4th run, I am looking into it. Jeremy, you ran after Neal on all his runs, right? Or did you go before him on your 4th run? I will keep you updated.

LOL That's right. Very unlikely that was a valid time. I think I saw a 44.184 on the display as I was in the finish lane. That run was good, but not 3 seconds better IMO.

    And it wasn't mixed up with Jeremey's 51xxx -- I didn't spin or have a major blunder.

Assumed that 44.1 was for me rather than previous car (SteveE). That time is more realistic given my other run times. And still good enough for 1st since Kim hit cones.

and Jeremy ran just after me assuming the "normal" progression and no one out of order

after this, I want to park next to Jeremy at every event

That's cool with me Neal. But I will have to charge you a "fee".

Neal is so fast that Chuck Norris won't even park next to him.

Had an awesome time despite only getting to make two of the five runs. Thanks a bunch to jrj for the ride, it's felt just as fast as the z06! :) hope to see you guys at Pennington.
