Thread: WTF who broke MME

    Question WTF who broke MME

Is it just me or is the forum being slow?

I've been trying to post this rant for about 5 minutes but stupid interweb wouldn't load the post new thread.

I take it one of our cruel overlords decided to do an update.......

The site was down for maintenance for a little bit yesterday morning, so an update is a good bet. I have not seen any issues from here though.

The site must be run by AT&T. Once you get to 500,000 post they slow your posting speed down.
You still get unlimited post but it will take 5 minutes.

It seems slower to me today, 7.30.11

Tailchaser and his minions thought it would be cute to add a "5" to my total posts a while back. While I am still a post whore I'm not quite as bad as the numbers would lead you to believe.

I can't get "Reply with Quote" to work at all all I get is the spinning wheel of doom.....

As far as the cruel overlords know, reply with quote SHOULD be working on anything other than IE6, and I haven't found anything it's not working on, but there's only so far I'll dig...

When that happens to me, I right click the "Reply With Quote" button and open in a new tab.

What's wrong with IE6. The cruel overlords at work say it is the best evah!!!

Actually, we're in the process of upgrading now... so they say.

It works!!! Honest, first time this feature has worked in months for me, it had to think about it for a few seconds though.

It has broken/been repaired a few times... There's some bad code from vBulletin in the .js that handles those links that gets eaten alive by the reverse proxy that keeps the site from operating a snail's pace... Most recently, it looked like the vbulletin code had finally been cleaned up and survived the proxy, but apparently not for ie8 (the only "modern-ish" browser i didn't check). Sorry about that.
