Make it a Tri. ECR has a car open track day on Saturday 8/20. Best lap at ECR, best drag time, best AX time. Track all day, drag at night, AX on Sunday.
    M3 is always the answer.

This is from the owner of the dragstrip:

After an overwhelming majority of people voiced their opinions to start later, the details for the Summer Cruise on August 20th are as follows:

    Gates Open: 7:30pm
    Racing Starts: 8:30pm
    Lanes Close: 1:30am

    $10 Admission
    $5 to Race

Featuring the King of DFWM & "Grocery Getter" Bracket Race, first round to begin at approximately 10:30pm.

Thanks for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you on the 20th.

I just wanted to bump this to the top. For those who are not interested in Bracket racing, there is no requirement that you run both days. The Equipe Rapide Challenge Cup #6 will the the last event before Nationals. It will be at Pennington Field on concrete so you can work on getting your cars dialed in for Nationals. Mark Madarash will be the event master. He has promised to not run the same course that ER ran in July and SCCA ran in on in August. Get your new tires scrubbed in.

I hope to see you on Saturday at North Star and on Sunday at Pennington Field.

    Thanks,

4100 pounds with about 190 hp to the ground. If it weren't for my cat-like reflexes and superior intellect I would probably come in DFL every time.

Just did some calculations. Actually you'd need Mrs. Thomas in there too.

You are going to have to use a wood chipper to get Re-Run and Mrs. Thomas in that trunk.

So, how many of you northsiders are going to show up and drag race? I'm driving from DeSoto, so I know you guys are closer to Denton than me.

Bring that S2K out and wind it up, Iain!

THis is a reminder that online registration for Challenge Cup #6 ends tonight at midnight. We offer on-site registration for those who like to wait till the last minute like Steve E and the Boy Wonder I Pee. See you Sunday and hopefully Saturday night.

The next westbound ramp is after Bedford Road which is nearly a mile west of Central Drive. Access road traffic at Bedford Road is already a little bit of a mess. Plan on it taking a couple minutes longer.
