Another work trip, Mid Ohio

I had the privilege of going to Mid Ohio for the Indy 200 weekend for work. The World Challenge Mustang was running. Had a 2nd place finish on Saturday, and a 4th on Sunday. On to the photos:

Ferrari ALMS GT car in the Keyhole, these cars sound amazing.


When we got to the race trailer, the guys from Capaldi Racing had a freshly build B-spec Fiesta on display. Looks like a fun class to run.

Start of the World Challenge race on Saturday




I was standing on the hill above Madness when it started pouring during the ALMS race on Saturday. Some interesting moments there.

Watched the last 7 laps of the Indycar race from the hill above the Keyhole.


It was a fun weekend. We had a full setup, so much busier than Long Beach. I'll be at Infineon at the end of this month, then at Petit Lemans weekend. Mid Ohio was awesome, elevation changes look so much smaller on TV. Especially the Keyhole.

Also, keep an eye out for this car during the Rolex Race at Watkins Glen. It was being wrapped at Mid Ohio. Sadly, I won't be there. Eric Foss (Who drives the Mustang) will be sharing the car with Patrick Lindsey.

I will be at Mid Ohio in about a month for the NASA Nationals in the M3. Can't wait to run it.

Missing teaching?

A little. I'm not a huge fan of all the travel, but I guess it's part of it. I'll be in New Berlin, New York this coming weekend (outdoor motocross), then La Mirada, CA (Short Course Showdown RC race, I'll be racing 2wd stock, and mod 4x4), then Infineon for the next World Challenge.
