Yes the power-train control module (PCM) is the engine control unit (ECU) ... The book should have the diagram showing the 1U terminal after u get to the ECU..
What is PCM stands in the shop manual? Is it = ECU?
The shop manual also refers PCM terminal 1U. Do I have to remove the carpet behind the passenger seat and carpet to get to the ECU to find terminal 1U?

ECU stands for engine control unit and PCM stands for powertrain control module. Pretty much PCM=ECU.
I'm not sure about finding 1U.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.
