Forza 4
Anyone getting it? I've got a pre-ordered copy on the way, I think it officially gets released tomorrow, just wondering if anyone on here will be couch-racing and posting times on Xbox Live.
Looks like I won't be able to make a clone of my car in this game like I was able to in Forza 3 - the only Miata that made it according to http://www.onlineracedriver.com/2011...cial-car-list/ is a 2010.
I have it pre-ordered but wont' be picking it up till saturday. They're sopoused to be releasing new DLC every month I see the NA Miata being released in one of them at least that's my opinion. I really excited about the Kinect head tracking (I.E. Look though corners) feature. :)

I have it pre-ordered. I'll be picking it up after work tomorrow. The NA is in the game, I was watching some video on the Forza website, and it was in one of the vehicle selection screens. Apparently now when you level up, you have a choice of 3 or 4 cars to choose from. The menu I saw was a NA miata, first gen MR2, and a 240 hatch back.

Picking up my collectors edition after work. Played an hour last night at mr. brgs and the game is better then before.
They give you a pick of 3-5 cars that are all themed, all 70s v8s, classic 4 wheel drive, 2 door slow jap cars.Originally Posted by blackzx3_13

Seems like the 'official final' car list I had found wasn't so official or final - The NA Miata is definitely in the game and you can get it fairly quickly. Only had a chance to play for a couple of hours last night but the game is great so far. I was really looking forward to driving on the Top Gear track, since I've seen 14 of the 17 seasons, but I've only been there for that weird bowling event.. does anyone else think that's out of place for this game?

Alright, alright... I think I'm going to finally have to take the plunge, give up on Grand Turismo and buy an Xbox 360 so I can finally race with Forza. But I'm confused by the Xbox 360 models. One model (using Best Buy prices) says "Xbox 360 with Kinect and a 4GB console for $400 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsoft+Xbox+360+Kinect+Starter+Bundle/9999150900050000.p?id=pcmprd150900050000&skuId=999 9150900050000)" and the other is the same thing for about the same price (sometimes even less) but with a 250GB console. How can they be the same price, and what am I missing? I don't want to buy the "wrong" console...

I'm willing to bet the 250gb console is only "kinect ready" and doesn't have a Kinect in the box like the 4gb box. Get the box with bigger storage you'l be thankful later. The 4gb model fills up quick with extra content.

Is the Logitech G25 now compatible with the XBOX? I know it originally wasn't, but figured that somebody has hacked by now.
the 250GB is required. Kinect is probably not very useful for Forza. You can add the 250GB for less than you can add Kinect, however, if you want Kinect. I'd like to pass along my aging classic with miniscule 20GB drive, but it's not a high level motivation since I don't seem to have time to play...

So that's (probably) why the 4GB and 250GB "packages" are priced about the same. The 4GB is with Kinect, and the 250GB is only Kinect ready.

I would agree, go for the larger hard drive. I had to clear out some space in my hard drive when I installed all the extra content. With Kinect, you can use the head tracking to "look" through a corner. I've used it some and I think it's cool, but I need to tinker with the settings some more for it to be perfect.

Kestrel, Go to game stop and see what used xbox packages they have. You can get a xbox with in store warranty for ~$100 less with a 120gb. I've had the 120gb for about 4 years and is only 1/2 full. The only reason they make the big HD is so you can copy a lot of game disc to it for faster load times. ~5gb and game so you see the math. I uninstall all the games i stop playing or trade in so as long as you don't have the 4 or 20gb your fine.
Edit, I take that back. Order this Refurbished 360 250GB bestbuy or gamestop. The gamestop one you can walk into a store and get i believe but best buy you have to order.
You have to buy a 3ed party adapter box and there will be no force feed back. Just a limp wheel.

Head tracking is a big one in my book you can look though corners now without using the "look" thumbstick, just turn your head a bit. It'll also do voice commands in game and you can use the Kinect to look around the car in whatever mode that is you can climb into the drivers seat and start it and what not. Where Clarkson tells you stuff about the car. Can't remember the mode right off.
