My car is all back together. It was not fun, but it's done. I'll be in my Miata tomorrow.

A little off topic, but I just tried to get my headers and catback installed for tomorrow - quoted at $400?? I've never paid someone to do this before, since my friend back home had a lift, is this as unreasonable as it sounds to me, or pretty on par?

Back on topic, if anybody from here that I can trust will be there tomorrow and would like to borrow my camera for the day, speak up and I'll bring it, otherwise i'll probably leave it home. It's nothing too fancy, entry/midlevel-dslr, but I've got a decent zoom lens for it so it generally gives better photos than a point and shoot.

I'm going to try to make the breakfast. Start without me if I'm late.

Hehe, whoops.. I didn't think it was worth starting a new thread.

I've got my sheet filled out, but I'm not a morning person, so getting up at 4ish is going to be rough!

I posted because I knew the rules were stricter because of MSR.
Even if you have to run top up, this is absolutely the best TT event of the year!!
BTW, I was told the entry cap is at 50 cars. I'm very happy to see 12 Miatas so far. Hope they putu
So are you running in this event Maniac?

We run the 1.7 on Friday and there was some guy riding his bike on the 1.3 so somebody was cheating. You guys have fun the 1.3 ISA fun track.

Hope you guys had a great event. After my "get off" on turn one on my first Hot Lap I checked and the steering rack tie rod mount broke. I guess thats why when I went to turn left it kept going straight. A once over on the car showed no other damage so I should make the ER event in two weeks. Turns out after talking to Glen Minehart (Brunton Stalker Company owner) on the way home, they replaced those a year ago with an improved design after several failures. Guess I missed that memo A new/improved part is on the way tomorrow morning. BTW, JJ I chuckled all the way home at your "Breaks just like a real Lotus" comment

^That suck. Parts are cheap and you are not damaged. Good day!

Good times, today. The PCA put on a fun event.

I still prefer an AX, but I enjoy doing these track events on occasion.

Had a great time! MSR is a really nice place to spend a day. I have a lot to learn as far as track driving goes, and I left a lot of time out there, but had fun and learned a lot about the car at the limits.

Ran a 1:10 on my last lap of the AM session. Interestingly, I felt faster in the pm and was much braver going into turn 1 after lunch, but never got closer than 0.5 sec to my best morning run. Afternoon grip was terrific, but HP seemed to be down a little.

This was my first real "track day," so I'm happy.

Exactly same here. As a new driver and my second track event, I'm very pleased with my 81sec best time.
