I've run at Apex with my roll bar and hardtop. I'm not sure what their requirements are, though. There was no broom stick test for me.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I've run both Apex and the ECR open track days in your car.

There are none that I'm aware of. Your car is perfectly fine for any run group at Apex with or without the hard top. I've instructed in several stock/near stock Miatas of all three generations.

Apex, ECR and Velocity Adventures down in Austin (run by an S2000 owner) are probably the most "convertible friendly" track day groups in the area.

I always run with them. My miata has a harddog, but i have only the factory hoops on my S2000 and never had an issue.

Ill probably be going on May 26th

I really want to go to Hallet. It would be nice if we could get a group together to go. I dont want to wait till *September* for M@H

Apex requires a roll bar for open top cars. They don't care about broomsticks. http://www.apexdrivingacademy.com/do...CH%20SHEET.pdf

    Same goes for ECR. http://www.eaglescanyon.com/docs/ECR...Inspection.pdf

And Miatas @ Hallett requires NO rollbars for beginners groups.

Read the first paragraph of the Apex inspection sheet

Hmm. I'm pretty sure I've instructed in an NA without a bar at Apex.

Regardless, I know an NC with the factory roll hoops will be fine at Apex or ECR.
