Some pics from this event....some crazy stuff.
Day one complete. Put a new tranny in on Friday when we re-developed a leak during our test session. Started this morning with high hopes, but the clutch started slipping about 5 laps into the first session. Long story short, we nursed the car the entire day on a very badly slipping clutch. Anything over 1/3 throttle in 3rd or 4th gear would make a lots of revs and minimal forward progress...
End of day 1, your heroes are somehow sitting in 7th place, same lap as the car in 6th and only 5 laps out of third.
We pulled the tranny over dinner, cleaned up the clutch, fixed some leaking gaskets, and have our fingers crossed that we can keep it together for 7 1/2 hours tomorrow.
