So is there a gas station close to the track or is it a hike?

There is fuel at the track but it is first come first serve and when its gone....its gone. And BTW: its not cheap.

OK thanks that's what I needed to know as I only get around 4mpg on the track. However if I'm in the lower run groups it may be a little more.

Anyone heading from the Frisco/Plano/Mckinney area with some extra room to haul a set of tires? Wife is not sure if she's going and I'd like to run my R comps.

I'm sure the wife will have room in the minivan after you talk her into driving a second vehicle :-D

Not only does the wife not own a minivan, she's probably faster on track than you.

R comps necessary for a casual Toys for Tots outing?

My autocross tires are actually Yokohama road course tires, curious to see how they perform when they actually get some heat into them for an extended period of time.

I wouldn't expect much heat on Saturday, it may be safer to run on all weather tires....lol

Well, I'm super duper fast and have the coolest helmet, so of course I can run in the instructor group. But I'll be in the second-fastest white BMW and drive like a little old lady so I don't peel all my tread off the bling bling rims, so a medium run group could probably contain my expertise and testosterone.
I have volunteered to help two newbies as well, so a group that doesn't run immediately before or after the Rookie group would be groovy.
