Thread: New Soft Top Cost

    Default New Soft Top Cost

I think I posted something similar to this but I'm really in need now...

My top is jacked, I can see the sky through some parts. I have the canvas style on there right now with the glass window(non zippered) with defrost. I'm trying to find out the approximate cost of getting new one installed. The canvas one is great but the OEM style would be fine too. I gotta get it soon because it's gonna leak like a sieve if we ever do get some rain!

    Thanks!

Yeah. We install tops at TDR too but I'd recommend Miata Solutions.

TCB "new" top is a used top with the frame still attached. Unbolt/unrivet, bolt/rivet the replacement, done.

No riveting with a frame-on swap. 6 bolts (3 on each side), and 47 little nuts on the rain rail.

You mean like this? (shameless plug) and it is only 13 nuts for the rain rail thingy, which I am sure you know.

Yep, you're right. Been a while since I did one.

On my old Miata, I just stitched the holes back together (someone slashed it) and smeared a thin layer of black RTV silicon inside and out to seal it. I was going to use it as a temporary fix... but it didn't look too bad and was water tight. I sold the car that way.
