    Stopped by the store today and could not believe that they wanted $3 for the Star Telegram T-Day Edition. No wonder they are dying. Charging for the privledge to buy advertisements with no additional low quality journalism.

    They were selling thousands of dollars worth of savings. I had to help bring our copy in from the front yard.

    It's not just the Startlegram. Other papers in other cities are doing the same thing. Newspapers in general are having a hard time making money to stay alive.

    My boss was bitching because the Dallas Morning News was going to add a $25 surcharge if she sent in her annual subscription fee via mail rather than sign up for e-billing. Bad move on their part in my opinion- why alienate and anger the non-tech savy people who are keeping the paper alive......
