Default Toyota FJ vs Acetylene Bottle

I normally don't like straight linking from other forum but I thought the welders on here would get a kick out of this.

    From somewhere in Canada.

This is the very reason I don't have an acetylene torch at home. I'm just not comfortable having a bottle of it in my attached garage. It's really dangerous stuff.

I'm trying to get my wife to understand this so I can go by a plasma cutter. Not working so far...

I read about that over on IH8MUD. It is good that the owner is OK. I hope his hearing loss is not permanent.

I noticed this link somewhere in that thread: http://www.msha.gov/alerts/hazardsofacetylene.htm It seems that acetylene is exceptionally unstable. I will move my cutting tanks outside next time I am welding in the garage.
