Thread: Good NTB for alignment?

    Default Good NTB for alignment?

I got NTB's 5-year alignment deal when AJ was doing them there. He's not doing them anymore.

I'm usually in the area around Keller's or up in Frisco, if anybody knows of an NTB in those parts where I could get a precision alignment.

(And, yes, I do slip them some green for the extra work...)

    Thanks much,
    TMF

I have the same contract and haven't found a single NTB willing to use my numbers much less allow me to sit in the car.

I have serious problems with NTB. I'll spare you the grand stories, but I paid for two 5-year packages and not one shop will let either car on the racks anymore after a manager guy flipped out at The Colony location. I tried to fix the problem with an area manager and he was remarkably rude, especially considering I gave them $400 in alignment cash with one alignment on each car.

    I recommend 5th Gear at 407 and 35E.

The NTB in Mesquite honored my 3yr NTB service and let me sit in the car.

However, i am not completely certain of how well the alignment was done afterwards and had it re-done it was way off
    Blah blah blah!

We use and recommend Kwik Kar in Plano. Thomas is the manager and will do custom alignments with a 1 time realignment within the first year. 305 Legacy Drive. 972-517-9555

He is not a Miata guy so you will need to know what settings you want.

I used NTB on Central Expressway in Dallas. They let you in the shop area, which is nice. Their alignment guy messed about with the car for quite some time to get to the front negative camber numbers I wanted. He would have let me sit in the car, but I was more interested in watching what he was doing. They also mounted (squeezed) my new 235 Direzzas with no complaints. Nice store and friendly people. I dealt with a person named Earl.

The best NTB is the one that I don't stop at--the one that is in my rear view mirror.
However, they do give discounts to school teachers (smile).

I second this. These guys are awesome. They can corner balance as well, if you're into that sort of thing.

I never sit in the car for an alignment because it doesn't make much of a difference in the alignment numbers, but I almost fell out of my chair when I dropped the car off, sat down to read a magazine, and was interrupted by the tech. Usually this means part XYZ is damaged and needs to be replaced. This time it was to ask, "how much weight do you want in the car." That's never happened before, lol.

When it comes down to where I put my money, I'd rather put it in the hands of a small, local business, who wants my business more than they want to appease an area manager or make some bullshit sales number. I will proudly pay $80 each time I go to 5th Gear for an alignment, because I know it will be right and I won't have to take it back.

PTP is the only other place I'd take it and those guys are great too.
