Default ER Cup #2 March 13

I hope to have better tires than the last time

Depending on if I stay intown or not I may be up for McDonalds again.

The long range forcast call for highs in the upper 70's and DRY

Mr and Mrs Monkey will also be thrashing one of my cars. Me thinks its time for Mr Monkey to step up and get a Miata.

Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

Yup, me and Honda will be there, trying desperately to pedal the thing to a decent Rapid PAX showing and beat the current car owner.... :)

I guess I'll be there, too. I've been wavering between yes and no, since I'm still on last year's rocks. I've also thought about just running on my street tires but would have to put the car in DSP because of the wheel size so with that pax, it probably doesn't much make a difference whether I'm on streets or the rocks formerly known as Rs (I guess since it's supposed to be warm, I could end up getting some stick out of them). :P

Ummmm, some front wheel drive econoboxes and perhaps a Spec Miata driver or two would get a bit upset if you ran that car in DSP sweetheart. Yeah, I know, you meant ASP, right?
But who cares, bring it out and play, rocks and all...

Um...actually BSP. Yeh, I imagine there'd be quite a few upset if I ended up running in DSP Wishful thinking....oh for a low pax (um...not really - I like fast). STU pax sux. :P

Didja order any V710s yet, mark52? Looks like the top four CSP trophy spots (all Miatas) at the Fontana ProSolo were on 13" V710s.

No 710's for me. Can't afford another set of 13" wheels

You ought to ask about this on the pointy board. I'm pretty sure that Bill Schenker (who goes by actor on the board) is using Panasport that are as wide if not wider than your Reals.

Besides, the price differential between Kumhos and Hoo$ier$ ought to pay for a spare set of wheels in one or two sets of tires.

I believe actor's wheels are 8.5" wide, and he must be streaching the crap out of those 710's to make them work. If the 710's continue to be the better choice (who knows what the new Hoosier O5s will be like) and IF Kumho doesn't produce a 225 width, I'll more than likely get a set of 13 x 8 Circle steel wheels.

I don't have any tires, I used up what I had at the school last week. Plus I'm meeting the buyer of my old Miata tomorrow.

Ya'll have fun, I'm sure I'll make the next one.

I had a great time today . . . except for the constant gale force winds

I hear I finished 3rd in Tires. I know where I left most of a second, but so do most of my competitors, so another run or two would have made no difference.

I think DR did a great job for his first (I guess) course design. A little Mustang/Corvette friendly for Miatas, but a really fast layout.

What a windy cold day! The course was awesome and fast! The POS Racer was able to outrun the evil MR2 today, but just couldn't catch the dreaded Pontiac, but I'll take my second place finish!

ER really needs to fix whatever the issue is with the computer / timing, we all got to spent quite a bit of time waiting on computer / timing issues today. The in the #3 Corvette certainly didn’t help matters by killing the lights at the finish during third heat.
