And here I thought it was going to be one of those Viagra commercials.
I may have told the first half of this story here before, but I will repeat it anyway for context: When I was 13, I bought a 1956 GMC Suburban Carrier from my Mom's Uncle with paper route money. He was the original owner of the truck. My Dad and I worked on restoring it together, but along the way we couldn't agree on what the finished product should be. I wanted it to be more of a hotrod truck, but my dad is only into stock restorations. Dad won out, and I moved on to other things before I was even old enough to drive it. Dad has kept it all of these years, but finally sold 2 months ago.
The guy that bought it used a flatbed trailer to tow it a good ways to it's new home. During the trip, he pulled over along the highway for some reason. While stopped, someone stopped to see if everything was OK. I guess the guy that stopped had something to do with an ad agency or production company. He said the site of the trailered truck on the side of the road gave him an idea, and they exchanged numbers.
6 weeks later and the truck is on TV: http://www.poptent.net/media/38199

That was your truck, your dad never should've sold it. That was hard earned paper route money. Just kidding.
Funny commercial and great truck.

I question if it was ever your truck!
Or if you just found this commercial while searching Google for something sick and twisted!
Picture of you and the truck or your claim is

IIRC, I paid bought it and he paid for all the resto work. He then bought me out so I could buy my '66 Mustang. He seems to remember things differently (apparently both of our names were still on the title), so he is wanting to give me some of the money from the sale. End the end, we agreed that I would open up a separate account to start saving for my work shop expansion, and he would deposit some of the truck money in it. He seems to think that it is important for me to get to work on expanding my storage space so he can hand down more stuff.![]()
That truck would look sweet pulling his boat. Congrats Todd and enjoy your visit with the 'rents.
Very nice truck in deed! Love to have it in my garage! I was talking the motorollow last weekend about getting a truck from the 60's!

I can confirm that thats Titus' dad in the photo....and he does in fact claim Titus as his son, although I haven't figured out why.
