I hope you realize you are morally obligated to make sure Miatas are mentioned in the article.

In a nutshell, a weekend in Detroit with all of the AutoWeek writers/editors and guest host Tommy Kendall, test-driving and evaluating cars on Ford's expansive test facility in Dearborn. Also, ride-alongs and driver skills training from pro drivers on wet skidpads, etc. Plus dinners, swag, etc. Don't have the list of cars we'll be testing, but I believe the general category is sub-$70k sporty/luxury sedans. This Fantasy test session will then become a feature article in an issue of AutoWeek.

This is their third year to do this; Google can provide more info and pics. Pretty stoked about this--it's really one of those once-in-a-lifetime bucket list things.

Very cool. So when do you go up there and are you allowed to take pics and video?

Once they sent out the official email that opened registration, it's first-come, first-serve for 20 folks to plop down a credit card and sign up. I actually missed the email by 11 minutes, and by the time I responded the event was already full. But I must have been the first or second person on the waiting list, because I received a follow-up email about an hour later that a spot had opened up. So I said WTF...must be a sign.

Well that is great. It looks like it will be a lot of fun. We will need a in-depth report when you get back.
