pm me. I've got a friend who used to have his own plating shop, but now uses a local vendor. I'll ask him for info.
Looking to get some items chrome plated. No, they aren't Miata parts but I'm not ruling out the possibility.
Actually looking to chrome plate some vintage light fixtures.
Anyone have a recommendation?

Here is the link I left out of the previous post. http://www.northtexasqualitychrome.com/faq.html
Before you get too excited, know that you will probably be able to buy the brand new fixtures that look similar to the vintage fixtures you are trying to get plated. Plating is not cheap, especially if they have to work on the pits that are in the metal from years of wear.

Nope... Bob's plating shop is there to support his own restoration business. It is a very nicely equipped shop, but it does not really need direct customers to survive. Bob is a restorer... but not necessairly a plater.
The other shop in Gainesville was owned Hallcraft Wheels (they made wire wheels) who gave it up several years ago. It is a larger shop geared more toward modern specification work than duplicating old plating processes for show cars. It is managed by a neat old guy who used to drive 200 mph, front engined dragsters, back when 200 was fast. He has run plating shops nearly his whole life and is truely expert at fixing old parts.
Either shop is equipped to do very nice work. Jack's work is just expensive... Bob's is "Oh my God"
