It might cost you more then it is worth. You could get an iPod for the same as the repair.

Hey guys,
I've got an iPhone 3GS that is experiencing the WSOD (white screen of death) and also has a lock button that no longer works. I'd like to have it repaired - anyone know of or recommend a place that can repair an iPhone?
I'm not interested in upgrading or replacing it because I have a Blackberry through work, so I don't need/want another phone contract. However I'd like to use it as an iPod and a Kindle, since work has some stupid security thing that doesn't play nice with the BB version of the Kindle app.

M3 is always the answer.
Keep an eye out, we actually got a groupon from ifixx or one of those stores to repair our son's iphone. it was like $40 to a $100 in repairs..

I work for at&t and will say it's not worth it. WSOD means a new main board more than likely so you might as well buy another phone or ipod. BB os sucks!

Sigh... sounds like I'm going to toss this in the dumpster than and start looking for an iPod. I don't need another phone or the contract that goes with it.
And yes, BB OS sucks monkey balls. I wish BB a quick and painful death so my company will be forced to provide me with an Android or iPhone.
