So last night I put the car up on the lift and pulled the wheels to inspect the brakes. As I looked around, something caught my eye...

So for a long time now, the 93LE has had a pretty bad squeak in the front suspension. After some testing, I was pretty sure it was coming from a front passenger side control arm bushing. I have a spare set of front control arms, along with new bushings for them, so I had been slowly working on pushing out the old bushings and pushing in the new ones (read 1 or 2 every 6 months when I thought about it). I was in no hurry, as I didn't want to do the full control arm swap and alignment until I got my 92 back on the road...

I still have the assembled stock shock/spring assemblies from my 96M parts car, so I threw them on. It raised the car about 2 inches, eliminated the squeaks, and gave the car a Cadillac smooth ride when compared to the R-pack suspension. I will eventually send the bilsteins off for a rebuild (and possibly revalve them a little softer), but for now we are enjoying the soft ride of the 93LE 4x4.
