1993 Mazda Miata for sale vin numberJM1NA3517P0400136, mileage 56,792.Runs and drives, $20K worth of work done within the last 3 years by Track Dog Racing, however, specific internal enginespecs are unknown. In case anyone is wondering, this is the infamous "Christine" as we called it that had spent quite a bit of time at TDR. I don't know the specs either but Michelle is probably correct with her estimate. I believe the motor was rebuilt with stronger internals and possibly port work. Gary at TDR would know more. It was also painted by Rogue and appeared at MWII.
This is a heck of a car and a fair price.

Question -- the ad says "runs and drives"
normally when I see that in an ad it tells me there are some major issues somewhere
is that the case here? or is the car in great shape overall without problems?

I've driven it recently and it runs and drives great. The motor is very strong and chassis is very solid - as it should be with so few miles. The car is in really nice shape.

..so even after years of banking with the f'ers, 2 loans with them, and always being financially responsible, they still won't give me a loan by myself. all i asked for was 3200....asshats.

Did you ask for a car loan? It’s always going to be hard to get a loan on a 19 year old car. You may have better luck getting a personal loan for 4K.
I guess it all depends on where you go. I was able to get a car loan for up to 5k (iirc) for a '97 with 134k miles. This was last November. They initially were only going to give me a personal loan for it because they "don't" give loans for vehicles with > 100k. Their personal loans in this amount were almost 10%. But it didn't take much convincing to get then to give me a car loan at 2%.
I would try a different branch or someone with more authority.
