    i may have a friend ditching a tien basic setup. They are a decent starter set but nothing super special.

    It’s not at all uncommon among the serious autocrosser’s in E STOCK, ST, STS, and STR (NB) classes, for the shocks to be worth more than the car. Not that it’s not crazy.

    My $700 car has wheels, tires, suspension, a hardtop, (all after I bought it) and one day it will have a $3000 Vorshlag suspension :) Those guys are bad ass!

    Oh that's not to mention my other Miata in the garage! lol ok maybe I AM a little crazy

    Ohlins are far from average, price-wise. Almost as much $ as AST's.

    Suspension is second only to tires in making a car fast around a track/autox, so you definitely get what you pay for. I will be upgrading my coilovers to AST's eventually.
